Hubert M. Makwanda is a human resources management consultant. For over ten years he has helped both organisations and individuals achieve their development and change management goals. He specializes in the transfer of knowledge and integration of immigrants into the workforce, guiding upper management, determining needs, designing and implementing made-to-measure training programmes. He has held management positions in national and international companies
Holder of a Master’s degree in androgogy (adult education) from the University of Montréal and in human resources management from École des hautes études commerciales de Montréal, he is a member of Ordre des conseillers en ressources humaines agréés du Québec (CRHA), the order for certified human resources professionals in Québec. He is also an accredited Insights Discovery personality profile consultant, and serves as a volunteer adviser with the Canadian Executive Service Organization (CESO).
Over the years Hubert has developed specific expertise in training, in communications, and in guiding decision-making and management of inter-cultural conflict resolution. His vast experience and unique management approach, where efficiency and respect for individuals go hand-in-hand, have helped him achieve many successes. Among them are his recent mandates in Burkina Faso, where he trained business trainers in adult education approaches and communications, and in Sénégal, where he established a development strategy for an information technology company.
Versatile and an excellent communicator, Hubert teaches courses under the auspices of the volunteer cooperative at the Collège de Rivière-du-Loup under the titles of «Échange de compétences» (Sharing Skills) and «Communication et vulgarisation du savoir» (Communicating and Popularizing Learning).
