John has been a consultant
with Corpovision 2000 since 2001 and specialises in sales-related
training. He is closely associated with the Canadian Professional
Sales Association (CPSA), for whom he is the sole national trainer
for their custom-designed Communicating to Influence Buying Decisions
course, which is offered in Halifax, Montreal, Toronto, Winnipeg,
Calgary and Vancouver. He graduated from Queen’s University with a
B. Comm. (Honours) and has over 35 years of experience in sales –
as a representative, a sales manager, and ultimately, as president
of his own company with clients in nine countries, on four continents.
He is a Certified Sales Professional (CSP), as well as a CPSA and Insights World certified trainer. John’s strong links to CPSA include serving on its board of directors and various committees; he is past chair of both the Canadian Professional Sales Association and the Canadian Professional Sales Institute, the latter of which he was instrumental in launching. He is a founding member and past chair of the CPSA Foundation, which supports a national student awards program for excellence in professional sales studies. John also delivers Professional Selling, which he helped develop, for the CPSA’s Professional Selling series, and is a trainer for the Department of National Defence for the course The Art of Persuasion.
John is an effective motivator and bilingual speaker, and promotes a high level of integrity in his training. His strength lies in his ability to teach, motivate and coach students in the sales process, communications, team building, conflict resolution, self development, and time management.
